The Lord first opened my eyes and convicted my heart through a faithful Sunday school teacher when I was only about eight years old. I praise God for a deep conviction of sin and a desire to be near Him and to know Him in my youth.

I served in church for years, but really only began to understand the doctrines of grace and how to actually read my Bible when I was about 27. I thank God for His matchless, living Word, for faithful saints through the centuries who the Lord used to preserve it, and for faithful men who continue to preach it today — and for the sweet gift of The Axis Church, which proclaims the Word and encourages Christians to read their Bibles.

Our prayer every day is that the Lord sustains and protects this outpost of Heaven in Nashville, and that many sons and daughters get a little taste of Heaven here and ultimately are made alive forevermore through our sweet Savior Jesus Christ.
